It's THE BIG GAME. Sunday, November 2nd, 3pm game (on Fox) the Packers host the Vikings and Brett Favre at Lambeau Field.
So who will win... And why?
Will the Vikings will win?
The 'Queens rank 7th overall in team offense, 8th in passing offense, and 7th in rushing offense.
Peterson is 2nd in the league in rushing, averaging 98 yards per game and has 8 TDs. Favre is 6th in the league for QB rating, with 102 rating, 12 TDs and averaging 240 yards per game. Jared Allen is 4th in NFL sacks, with 7.5.
The Vikings only significant injuries are EJ Henderson and Bernard Berrian. Both will probably play on Sunday.
The Packers have not significantly upgraded their offensive line, the biggest problem in the Monday night loss.
Will the Packers win?
The Packers are 2-0 since that horrible Monday night loss to the Vikings and are coming off a perfect game against Cleveland. The Packers have 5 turnovers in the past two games, albeit against two of the worst teams in the NFL (or college for that matter).
The Packers are 2nd in NFL team defense, 2nd in team passing defense and 10th in team rushing defense.
The Vikings are coming off a tough loss to the Steelers and Favre made two critical mistakes for touchdowns (and looked REALLY OLD in the process).
Despite giving up 8 sacks, the Packers were not out of that Monday night loss and made a decent comeback in the end. The offensive line is much healthier and will have Mark Tauscher in the mix. Only Jason Spitz missed time this week, although Sitton is hurting.
The bye week and the two lobsided wins have given the Packers the opportunity to get healthy.
Rodgers is the NFC's offensive player of the week and is 2nd in the NFL in QB rating with an 110 rating, 11 TDs and averagin 284 yards/game. Bigby is back and looked good versus Cleveland. He should reduce Favre's big play threat. Grant has finally regained some of his 2007 form and went for 148 yards and a TD in the Cleveland game.
