Right after the week 4 loss to Tampa, we speculated that the 2008 season was practically done by the horrible injury situation.

But last week's bye couldn't have come at a better time.  And maybe this season isn't over after all.  Tennessee, at 7-0, will be the best test of the season.  And if the healthy-er Packers can play like they did vs the Colts (or better), the Pack may jump up into the top of the NFL power rankings.

But the amazing thing about the injuries is now the Packers have a lot more depth than everyone (including the coaches) thought they did.

So who is getting healthy?

Well, the headline should really be Al Harris.  Sure Tramon Williams has filled in nicely and we haven't missed Harris as much as we might have.  But played well in his absence.  The coaches now have the option of playing Hawk in running downs - where he excels - and Chillar in passing downs where his better speed can keep up with faster receivers.

The Dline is finally deep - an important quality for winning close games.  Justin Harrell will be activated this week.  The line now has Harrell, Jason Hunter, Michael Montgomery with starters Johnny Jolly, Kampman, and Colin Cole. (However, Jolly has some legal problems to deal with.)

On offense, McCarthy mentioned that James Jones will be back this week.  That will return the Pack to our orginal "Big 5" WRs (Driver, Jennings, Jordy Nelson, Ruvel Martin and Jones) for the first time in 08. Look for the Pack to run the spread with these guys a couple times vs Tennessee.  At Fullback, Korey Hall's knee has improved.  He and his replacement John Kuhn will probably share snaps.

Rodgers is even doing better. He threw more this week, especially long balls and had a great day at Thursday's practice.  Before the bye he wasn't doing any throwing at all in practice.  Over the bye week, he did not have to do regular rehab, a big sign that he's close to normal.

Others?  Woodson's toe is still keeping him limited in practice (we think he just hates practice).

McCarthy on the health of the team: "You cannot have enough good football players. Those are great problems to have."
